We stayed for a week. Our room was nice, a king size bed and a nice fold out sofa. The room had no microwave, we had to request
The small fridge was in a cabinet next to the fold out sofa. Made it a little difficult to access. The television glitches alot. Housekeeping was great when you could get a hold of them. The hotel is right across from the beach and also near a lot shopping. If you are renting a car you have to pay for valet parking. The valets were very nice. But the parking cost $60 a day. Overall a nice place. Would probably stay there again if we got a good deal. Also food is very expense. Look for some good deals or go to Costco or a grocery to get some less expensive food.

i would not recommend this hotel. although the valet was probably the best service of the whole hotel and we interacted with them everyday so because of them, i’m giving 2 stars. the reception is so slow!!!! my husband waited 30+ min for towels for the pool because no one does their job and restocks them throughout the day. also, the elevator system is the most ridiculous frustrating thing i have ever experienced. the numbers are on the outside and it tells you what elevator and sometimes it takes 10 min for the elevator to arrive. super inefficient. cherry on top? pillows suck and the fire alarm went off at 230am and i had a full blown panic attack with my 9 month old in my arms evacuating the building. i guess ill end with a positive. the view is pretty amazing and worth the $$ and location is pretty good but its at the end of the block. the restaurant goofys diner has good pancakes. it wasn’t the best hotel and i would never stay again. but i am grateful for the valet being so kind and efficient everyday!

We were disappointed with our stay. We booked an ocean-view room expecting a comfortable, enjoyable experience, but the room was very small and felt outdated. It had a noticeable old, musty smell that made it unpleasant. Traveling as a family of four, the room was extremely cramped and uncomfortable, with very little space for everyone. While the ocean view was nice, it didnt make up for the condition and size of the room. Overall, it did not meet our expectations, and we expected much better for the price we paid. Motel vibes.

When we first got to our room, we noticed the chair in the room was DIRTY. There was a wet stain like someone sat there naked, the arm rests were wet & sticky. It took ALL day to get it out of our room & that was after calling 4x. The pillow had mold on it. Because of the chair issue, the hotel did take off 2 nights of resort fees. The fridge stunk inside, we hadn’t even used it & it stunk the entire stay. The phone was staticky, then after the 2nd day, it didn’t work at all. The thermostat screen was broken, so we couldn’t tell what temp it was inside the room. The sliding glass door to the balcony was so hard to open/close & if you didn’t align it perfect when you closed it, you couldn’t lock it. If the carpet wasn’t the color it is, you’d see all the stains. On the 2nd day after our room was cleaned, we didn’t get towels. We asked the housekeeper for towels, she said the hotel ran out. We ended up grabbing towels from the pool multiple times so we would have towels during our stay as this happened on multiple days. Price - if you’re on a budget & want to come to HI, this is the hotel. Location:directly across from Waikiki Beach; but also loud & crowded. Free beach rentals daily. Goofy’s was delicious. Drinks were on point & staff were friendly. Hot dog shop was a great grab in the middle of the day. Cons (besides our personal experience):Pool closes at 8 pm every night. No spa/hot tub. Elevator system takes too long. Atmosphere more for younger adult vs resort. Not a fan

We were there at the same time as "grad week." This is an event we had no knowledge of, but learned it is a week of unsupervised vacation for new high school graduates. The Twin Fin was one of the main grad week hotels. I wish I had been notified of this by the hotel, both via the hotels website and hotels.com. The kids were actually okay behavior wise (not too loud, etc.), the biggest problem seemed to be that the hotel was over taxed in every possible way. There were never clean towels at the pool. The wifi was incredibly slow. The AC worked so poorly that out bath towels were not dry 24 hours later.
