I loved our suite on 30th floor. Very spacious. Amazing view of the harbor. Very secure with a 6 digit passcode on the door to the room. Ubers brought us to and from the front curb. I would definitely stay here again. My only concern… the entrance to the hotel is on street level but I didn’t see a single sign that said “The Aston Hotel”. I thought that was very poor communication by the hotel. The normal entrance was down the escalator to the downstairs lobby. Even at the top of the escalator, no Aston sign. We had luggage and finally discovered the elevator which just said “Hotel” and you had to press the intercom to get the elevator to open. Once we got checked in, we understood the location entrance. I’m sure the reason for making it difficult was to dissuade all the homeless street people on the street level.

Compared to our usual Hilton stays, this hotel is well below average, though it worked for us since we only needed a place to sleep and were out and about all day. The staff was helpful, the room was clean, the view was great, and the kitchen was well-equipped with a fridge, stove, utensils, and an air-fryer microwave. The nearby 7-Eleven was also very convenient. However, the property has severe maintenance and safety issues. Our room had peeling wall coverings, improperly installed kitchen tiles, and dangerous, exposed electrical wiring. Additionally, the laundry room is falling apart with broken machines and a broken coin changer. Finally, their amenity policy is unacceptable. Despite charging a $25 daily amenity fee, they only gave us a single 24-hour gym pass for our 6-day stay and wanted to charge extra for my wife. I would give this place a 5star for the beautiful view and the kitchen being well equipped. We stayed at 3601@36th floor and the view of the mountains was amazing! If u don’t mind the rest, then i would recommend this place. We didn’t see any cockroaches unlike some other hotels we stayed in Hawaii i hope this helps :)✌️
