Bula bula! We had such a great stay at Musket Cove for our honeymoon. The staff there are incredible: they knew our names and were always saying hello. We were a few minutes late for one of the walking tours of the island, and the staff went out of their way to try to get us on the group. When they couldn’t find the other group, they created a private walking group just for us! The food was delicious and different every night. There were so many fun activities to do during the day including snorkeling, various water sports, and on land activities. The room was spacious and clean. Would 100% recommend this hotel and would revisit

Musket Cove offers something for everyone, with a large property, well appointed amenities, excellent dining options & very good service & staff. Lithey is our favorite hostess at the main restaurant-always smiling, attentive and caring. The Resort has an interesting casual mix of yachties and resort guests across the friendly grounds. The Island Bar is a fun option to explore.
We went on a snorkeling/island hop excursion, as well as Cloud 9 afternoon trip. In mornings we did our own power walks around the island and standup paddle board sessions across the lagoons. The Makare spa session with massages was very peaceful and good treatments.
Stayed in the beach front bures, last year stayed in the lagoon villas. Both are great choices.

My boyfriend & I stayed at Musket Cove for 2 nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in a beachfront bure. The house was spacious & the view was great. However, we had an issue with bugs in the room, which made the stay unpleasant. When we first arrived, we noticed a large amount of ants on the wall, bed, bar, & night tables. We alerted the front desk, & someone came in & cleaned the wall & changed the bed linens. However, when we returned to the room a short while later, the ants were back. We ended up moving the bed away from the wall, which seemed to help keep them off the bed. However, there were still many ants on the bar & tables. This made these areas unusable. We did alert the front desk but we were told it was part of island living. However, in speaking with other guests in the same accommodation type as us, we learned that they did not share this experience. The situation was never resolved & this was truly disappointing.

Our stay included the meal plan. We enjoyed the pizza from the restaurant near the front desk & the seafood night buffet from the main restaurant. We found the other meals to be average.

We spent a lot of time in the "quiet" pool & enjoyed the zen vibes there, as well as the activities offered at the resort.

On this trip, we stayed at 5 different resorts in Fiji. At most of the resorts, we were impressed by the Fijian hospitality & friendliness. While we met some lovely people at Musket Cove, we found the warmth/friendliness to be hit or miss.

We stayed for 6 days but had a cyclone for 2 days so services were somewhat disrupted. There was limited information from the staff about what we should do during this cyclone other than stay in your room.

The bure we stayed in was lovely and the food was great, but perhaps Fiji time is not for us. Everyone was just in their own world. We couldnt get straight answers about services or prices, and at dinner asking for water took several requests and sometimes you got it and sometimes you didnt.

We travelled specifically to surf and again couldnt accurate advice. The time Musket did organise a boat to take us to the reef with one of their contractors, the captain had no idea which reef was best that day and the price charged was different than we were told prior. When I pointed this out, the woman at Musket Cove water sports, was rude and told us she would have to pay the difference if we didnt agree to the higher payment.

Subsequently we walked down to Plantation Island water sports and got a straight answer about prices, times and which reefs were best for the day. Any surfers at Musket, I would recommend organising with Plantation as they know what they are talking about and will pick you up in a boat at Musket.

Overall I think if you want to go to an island and drink and lay by the pool with a book, this is a good option. However if you would like to be active - use a gym, play tennis or surf etc on your vacation, then its probably not the right place.
