We had an amazing stay at Bakubung Bush Lodge. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The lodge itself was very clean, well maintained and had such a great atmosphere throughout.
The safari experience was absolutely unforgettable — seeing the animals up close in such beautiful surroundings was a real highlight. The whole place has an amazing vibe, perfect for families or anyone wanting a relaxing bush getaway. We would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Sun City/Pilanesberg area.

Our stay at Bakubung was absolutely wonderful and truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness by an incredibly attentive and professional staff who made us feel at home throughout our entire stay.

The hotel is beautifully maintained, very clean, and extremely well cared for: from the rooms to all the common areas. Everything was spotless and very comfortable. The food was also excellent, with great variety and quality.

One of the highlights of our stay was, of course, the safaris. The guides were fantastic: knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly dedicated to making the experience special for every guest. We had incredible sightings, including leopards, lions, giraffes, zebras, impalas, rhinos and large herds of elephants with babies, which made the experience even more magical.

We would also like to especially thank Donald at reception for his kindness and helpfulness, and the amazing safari guides Masechaba, Jafari, and Valbert, who made our game drives truly unforgettable.

The hotel’s location, very close to the Pilanesberg National Park gate, makes everything even more convenient and allows you to fully enjoy the safari experience.

Overall, it was an incredible stay and we would highly recommend Bakubung to anyone visiting Pilanesberg. We would love to come back one day!
