An Unforgettable, Idyllic Escape!

Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa is truly amazing from the moment you are picked up until your final departure. We stayed in a Sea Water Pool Room, which was absolutely idyllic—featuring a sparkling private pool, lush nature all around, and a full, breathtaking view of the ocean.

The dining experience was equally impressive. Lunch at the main restaurant was exquisite, while the breakfast buffet offered an incredible variety of choices alongside impeccable service. As frequent travelers who visit many resorts, we can confidently say that Santhiya left a lasting impression on us. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Excellent views, amenities and architecture. Breakfast needs a massive improvement in terms of taste and service. Everyday many dishes were empty and refilling took time. Cleanliness of the restaurants also needs to improve. Room housekeeping also needs improvement. Infrastructure needs fixing as in times of rains, the roof of both the sea side restaurants was leaking from many places causing a massive inconvenience to guests in the middle of their meals. The main pool was also quite dirty. A la carte food was surprisingly good however.

This time was a HUGE let-down - and we really regret spending 5 nights here.

The location itself - it sits on a large hill/peninsula. This means that no matter where you are going - you will most likely have to use one of the cars they have to shuffle you around. And they have 226 rooms - so you can imagine that there are a large amount of people to move, especially during the busy hours.
The issue here is that they dont have enough cars to shuffle people around - so every time we wanted to go somewhere, you first have to walk to one of the pick up locations . Then you had to wait - in average about 5-10 minutes before being picked up. On average - going to breakfast - to the beach, to the gym, lunch, and dinner, we had to do this 6-8 times a day waiting on average 45-60 minutes per day for a pick up! That is just not what I imagined myself doing during my holiday.
Increase the number of cars!

The staff : Something is not right and they do not seem to be content with their job. There are plenty of staff - but for some reason they are required to take photos of everything they are doing - so they spend more time making sure they have documented their job than to pay attention to customers.

The food is utterly tasteless at all the restaurants -we tried them all.
The breakfast is great!

Gym closes at 19pm - for no reason we can understand.

Pools are great.

The beach is wonderful.

We love Santhiya brand, but we are not coming back, every, again to thiso one.
