The Maldron Hotel in Parnell Square seems to have seen better days. While the front desk staff were lovely, and the lobby was clean, my first impression was of the room key cards that we got. While Im all for reusing and recycling, the card I got was peeling at the ends.
Our room was tight. There was a queen sized bed and one side was so close to the wall, that to get out of the bed required walking sideways. There were weird noises occasionally that I think may have been from the pipes when others were showering?
I had to ask the front desk to fix the outlet by one side of the bed, as it was not working and I couldnt charge my phone. Maintenance was quick to come up and fix it.
Housekeeping needs some work. On our last full day there, we returned to our room to discover that our dirty towels had been taken, but no clean ones put in their place, and the bed had not been made. There are glasses in the bathroom and an instant coffee maker in the bedroom, but I question the cleanliness of them. One of the coffee mugs in the bedroom had a layer of dust at the bottom. I also did not see any glasses or mugs on the cleaning carts, so I have to wonder how clean they are? Do they just rinse them out in the rooms?
We opted for the "Vitality Breakfast". This was a good spread with a variety of foods. While they did have a "free from" section, very little was actually labelled so I wasnt sure what was what.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay at the Maldron Hotel Parnell Square during our trip to Dublin! The hotels location is incredible and made our sightseeing effortless, as it sits within easy walking distance of almost all the citys major attractions and historic spots. We never had to worry about long journeys or complicated transit to get to where we wanted to go.
Additionally, the surrounding Parnell Square area is fantastic, with plenty of excellent restaurants, lively pubs, and cafes right on our doorstep to choose from each evening.
The hospitality here really stood out, especially with the thoughtful extra touches provided by the housekeeping team. Every single day of our stay, we were delighted to find complimentary bottles of fresh water and delicious cookies waiting for us in our room. Having those snacks and refreshments ready after a long day of walking around the city was such a lovely, welcoming gesture that made us feel highly valued as guests.
Another massive highlight was the breakfast served downstairs each morning. The spread was incredibly plentiful, featuring a massive variety of fresh, delicious hot and cold options that gave us the perfect fuel for a full day of exploring. The staff throughout the hotel were warm and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, and the overall experience was top-tier. We would highly recommend the Maldron Parnell Square to anyone visiting Dublin!

Overall our stay at the Maldron Parnell Square was positive. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Staff were helpful. We didn’t love the neighborhood. There weren’t a lot of good food options nearby and it was a further walk to the sites than we expected (30 minutes to Dublin Castle). Next time we will stay closer to the city center. Also, the hotels.com website said there were laundry facilities but that was incorrect. You have to take your stuff to a laundromat about 5-10 minutes away or pay per piece crazy prices for the hotel to send your clothes out for cleaning.
