Tiny vegan café with eight counter sheets

The Ying-Yang Flower Café is a very tiny, casual, vegan organic café with only eight counter sheets.
Outlook of the cafe is very Japanese, but their meals are more like a fusion of rock music from late 1960's to 1970's with a calm, relaxed atmosphere.

Ying-Yang Flower Café provides three kinds of meals, each price including tax.
Five pungent roots free (for Oriental vegetarian) Vegan Miso (Soy bean) soup with Onigiri (brown rice balls)(Japanese style; 600yen), Vegan curry of the day (Fusion style; 800yen), and Vegan plate lunch of the day (Fusion style; 1,000yen・・・Orders until 3:00pm) Portions are moderate size. Brown rice and vegetable there are so tasty!

For evening, they open “Veggie Bar”, but only on Fridays and Saturdays, from 6pm to 9pm (Last order; 8pm) with no table charge. Again, meals for the bar are quite limited; Onigiri, Curry, Tapas plate (three kinds or five kinds of assorted small vegetable dishes). There are organic beers and wines, too.

All drinks are organic, but not included with meal price.
With no Food additives, no White sugar, all GMO free, and Becquerel free (radio-active free) products, the café sets a high value on food safety and a balanced diet.

The Yin-Yang flower café is located just behind the Shochiku Movie Studio; about five minutes’ walk from the Randen Katabira-no-Tsuji train Station, which is close to the Toei Uzumasa Eiga Mura (Movie village) and Sagano Onsen Tenzan-no-Yu (Hot spring).
The cafe also provides boxed lunch (Obento; 800yen) to go, if you call them at least one hour before you pick them up. You could also take out the vegan muffin (180yen) or wait for your Obento while you sip a drink and read a book.

Since there is no vegetarian meal you can buy inside the Toei Uzumasa Eigamura (movie village), or you may bring your own food. It would be a great joy to get a boxed lunch from the Ying-Yang Flower Café and have a nice vegan meal while enjoying the movie village!

Tuesday is the cafe's regular closing day. But from time to time, they may not open on other days too. Best to check the calendar on their website before you go.

The owner of this cafe speaks both English and French.

Bilingual menu available (Japanese and English).
Cash only. Inexpensive.
