Ride to the top will give you the greatest view of Osaka

It's one of the largest Ferris Wheels in Japan. It's located on the waterfront area, conveniently next to the Kaiyukan Aquarium and Tempozan Market Place. The highest point of this Ferris Wheel is about 112m.

We visited the Ferris Wheel around 8 at night. Since it's located in the seaside, you'll see the vivid light of cities as well as the romantic view of the ocean. The views would be spectacular anytime of the day. We would love to come back during the summer sunset.

At night time, the Ferris Wheel is displayed with various lights coming out from the center of the circle. You can see many designs such as fireworks, swimming fish, and the current weather forecast. We saw kumori, cloudy and the picture of clouds swiped across the circle.

The price of the Ferris Wheel is reasonable ¥800 (JPY), and takes 15 minutes ride. We also had a choice of taking a transparent car for the same price, but we chose to take a normal car because we didn't want to wait an additional 20 minutes. The number of transparent cars is limited so it's likely that you'll have to wait. We went there during off-peak hours, around 20:00, which was a 20 minutes wait, so it's likely to be longer in peak hours. (They close at 22:00, and the final ride will be 21:30)

・To get the whole picture of the Ferris Wheel, take a picture from the street across from the bus stop outside.
・It's good for all ages, and for visitors traveling with their family, couples or good friends.

Access from JR Osaka/Umeda
Via Train
Take the Kanjo Line from Osaka to Bentencho. At Bentencho, transfer to the Osaka municipal Subway and get off at Osakako. It takes 20 to 25 minutes. It's faster than taking the bus, but if you take it during peak hours it's really crowded with commuters. ¥400(JPY) for one way

Via Osaka City Bus
The bus terminal is outside of JR Osaka station Midosuji exit. Take a 88 bus to the "Tempozan Harbor Village" stop. It takes 45 to 50 minutes but it depends on the traffic. If you can find a seat, it's nice to look the streets of Osaka while you are on the bus. ¥210(JPY) for one way
