The room was small but adequate. We had some confusion with the billing of our room, but with some effort the staff were able to correct their error. There is an extra resort fee at this hotel and I have never been able to figure out what you get for that. The hotel doesnt have anything that is not standard at most hotels. You can walk to the beach/pier from this hotel, but it is a long walk so most of the time we took car hires to get where we needed to go. We have stayed here several times because it is a reliable hotel in a safe and quiet area and is not as expensive as some hotels in Santa Monica.

Enjoyed our stay with our familly

Amazing and helpful staff! Great hotel and so well kept. I love that it’s a very short and easy walk to the beach, numerous food options, and coffee shops.

Hello, I stayed at the hotel from June 26 to June 28 and used self-parking the entire time, but when I received the bill via email, I saw that I had been charged for valet service. Please refund the amount. Thank you very much.

Everything good but expensive

Loved this hotel. Balcony with ocean view, clean room and comfy beds. Staff was SO friendly and accommodating. My ONLY complaint (and this may be a CA Thing) was the bar/restaurant prices. $44 for 2 drinks with an additional 20% tax added to price and regular tax. Also you do have to pay for valet service to even use the EV charger, can’t use it with paid self parking- even though chargers were not being used and it’s only $5 difference. - Sorry no one is driving and parking our Cybertruck thank you very much. That was a bummer. Overall hotel itself, access to the free bikes, distance to beach, cleanliness and service are 5 stars!

The Hyatt Centric was ok. The staff were great and very welcoming but the building is old. Only two elevators and one was out of service. The pool is tiny - you technically can’t swim just stand or jump in it cause it’s so small.
The restaurant offerings were meh and really expensive.
The room amenities could use some modernization and the rugs a very deep clean. It felt more like an upscale motel than a 4 star hotel.
Proximity to the beach was nice (20 min walk) but please don’t advertise ocean view room when the hotel is located so far away and you can barely see it.

Loved our overall first experience at this hotel .

We booked King, 1 bedroom ocean front suit for 4 people. There was no bedroom just an area with king. size bed and sofa bed which was flimsy no one could sleep on it when opened. Our granddaughter had to go to her freinds hotel and crash as no way 4 people could stay in thei room.

We never had such bad experinece in any hotel. We checked the hotel after booking one month prior to our arrival when we were in santa Monica. They showed us the right room and I called again but when I arrived booking lady talked to manager and I think they gave me lower price room

Nalini Motwani

We had 2 nights booked there but checked out immediately and did not stay. The room was musty, dirty and the furnishings tired and worn. I would not stay here It is not a 4 star hotel. Not even close.
