Mont St Michel is amazing, wonderful, stunning. All the buildings on it are relatively small, quaint and old fashioned.
We went for a room with a view over the ramparts.
It had a kettle and water in a fridge, a double bed and a small en-suite bathroom and was fine/good.
It doesn’t have air-conditioning or a lift (there are only a few stairs to and in the property, but they are quite steep - but that’s the nature of the place.
The downside was from about 5.30am in the morning Mont St Michel and all of its restaurants and shops are being re-supplied and litter is being taken away and this is a very very noisy (but essential) process and continues for about 2.5 hours or more.
There’s nothing the hotel can do about this - it’s just the price you pay for staying in somewhere like this. (And I would say is worth it!)

I wish I had a better stay at this hotel for the price I paid. It was only 1 night but the biggest problem was that I was not warned that everything was closed at 9pm. It didnt even crossed my mind as such a turistic place I thought It would be something to eat. Not even a vending machine at the hotel or the city. NOTHING. I found a pair of flipflops in the room, 1 under the bed which means they didnt clean or check properly. The hairdryer was not working but the team provided us another one.
I think I could have a better time there cause its not a cheap place to stay. And even if it was, for most of us its a unique experience so it should hold better memories.
It was not bad at all, but Id only stay there again if there was the only place left.

The hotel was a little hard to find as there are no signs along the main street. The room had everything we needed. It was 90 degrees in May so we were able to borrow a fan from reception, since there is no air conditioning. Breakfast was included at a nearby restaurant. Note: The shuttle bus drops you about 3/4 of the way on the footbridge. You have to walk with suitcases the rest of the way, up a steep street to get to the room. Luckily we only had a small roller suitcase each. After 5-6 pm the island emptied out of all the day tourists and it was almost deserted. Great time to explore the village and get some great sunset photos.

We stayed at Les Terrasses Poulard. Amazing French breakfast buffet included with our room (although we heard it’s not included with all rooms). The room was clean and we had an amazing view. Jut be aware that there is no fan or AC. It was 90 degrees in May when we stayed there. It cooled down once sun went down and we had all windows open, but hot during the day.

Fabulous experience wonderful place

Big room with lots of windows.

Breakfast was good. Limited shops open - out of season

Staff was great, room was small but it was expected, pretty view, minutes from the abbey, the only thing to note is that if you are pregnant or overweight you probably won’t be able to pass through the showers door as they don’t open completely because the bathroom sink is on its way but the shower has great pressure and nice hot water! Breakfast was free and it was super good for me, overall it was great. We love Mont Saint Michel.

Whilst very compact within the confines of the old heritage building, it had everything we needed for our short stay and is ideally located.
The staff were professional and friendly.
Would stay there again if visiting the Mont.

Nice room with a view.
