I had an incredible stay at the Empire, Brunei. The hotel and grounds are stunning and I made the most of the incredible spa, the onsite cinema and the pool and beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating and really made it a truly special stay. The rooms were amazing and the sea view is unmissable.

Facility is very gorgeous. Room is spacious and clean. It is very quiet. Located little bit far from the city. Availability of foods and drinks is limited. Service quality is standard given not much competition in the country. It is good for relaxing.

Great resort with huge rooms, variety of activities and great services

Massive and very clean property, great amenities and excellent service.

Implacable service!
Great hotel

Good

Had the best stay! Everyone was so welcoming and kind. Amenities are amazing and food was delicious. Nice there was transportation to get you from one area to the next. Staying here was one of the experiences Ive had on my travels!!!

Perfect for a quiet getaway. Property is huge so youre never really troubled by crowds or noise. Plenty of pools, beaches and open spaces for privacy. Sunsets are gorgeous. Staff are ever helpful. On site dining options are limited - can be a bit of a bother if you dont drive.

The property and staff exceeded my expectations! Next time I am back in town I will definitely stay there again.

Expectations for The Empire Brunei were very high beforehand. The wording of the self-declaration on their website is:

"Truly one of the finest golf, meeting and spa resorts in the Asia Pacific Region."

Unfortunately, we did not find the service and quality of the hotel to be that good. We were bitterly disappointed!

The service is extremely below average for a 5-star hotel. The management is clearly overwhelmed by the quality mentioned. Gold decorations are no help if basic points are not right. There is simply a lack of professionalism.
