Small rooms

We came to Hollywood to go to the Jimmy Buffett tribute concert last night. While we didn’t spend much time at the hotel, it was lovely, convenient and the staff was amazing.

For the most part the hotel itself is good. The bed was comfortable, rooms were clean and soap/shampoo were malin and goetz. For those staying on the 2nd floor you access a courtyard, with happy hour beverages and “food” (humus and cocktail sausages, enough for 5 people). Breakfast is also Included in this floor, but same issue, not nearly enough to feed people.

My issue with the hotel is the staff. Completely oblivious to the fact that guests are there, denied an upgrade until i pressed to talk to the manager and they tried to charge $100 to check in at 2pm instead of 3pm. Similar at checkout credits were left odd th invoice until I brought them up.

All in all the hotel is great, but the staff were on their phones the whole time, one was making a tik tok when I asked if there would be more breakfast on its way out. She said she had no idea.

Overall great stay in a modern and stylish hotel. Valet service good but a bit expensive, hotel staff could be a bit more welcoming and warm. Cooling in the room is good but on a cold night no / limited heating options. Location is very good with hollywood blv at walking distance.

An amazing place for the price and location made my 8 year old sons birthday trip to universal studios even better we weren’t sure what to expect by the price compared to other places in the area but it was great.

This is a beautiful hotel, but their double rooms are very small - no real room for luggage at all. Because of this, I reserved a room with lounge access - I figured my 2 teenagers and I would need the extra space. But when we checked in, the hotel claimed they did not get the “lounge access” part of my reservation. So we were placed on a floor that didn’t have lounge access and the hotel refused to move us, even after I showed them my reservation details. I reached out to hotels.com, who were able to get me a small refund (certainly not the full amount I should have had refunded). But I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel if you are looking for guaranteed lounge access.

I must compliment their valets, however. Since we couldn’t comfortably hang out in our room, we spent a lot of time coming and going. The valet retrieved our car swiftly each time, using a QR code that negates the need to call. Very efficient.

I use to stay here 7 years ago when property was nice, now rooms are outdated needs major renovation smelled stale in our room, looks like rooms floors may have been shampooed with no deodorizer. Towels that were in our room folded were still damp. Light by beds did not work and tv remote had no batteries. Rooms did not look dirty, but felt dirty. Property has potential, but needs major overhaul !!!! Its in Calabasas, but does not meet Calabasas standards whatsoever. If your looking for a cheap room then this is it, if your looking comfort and cleanliness at a higher standard and a piece of mind then try another hotel/motel.

Bought the last room with a tub. Waited at least 5 minutes because no pool he was at Tempe front desk. Concierge told me my room wasn’t available any longer and the whole point was a staycation with a tub in the room. Sushi was way too spicy, room service closed at 10 along with the restaurant and rooftop. Didn’t get to experience the lounge because it was closed. Won’t stay there again.

Front desk was not friendly nor welcoming, hotel rooftop bar was beautiful but didnt have very many drinks to choose from, left over room service on our floor infront of our room for our whole stay. Pretty expensive for the lack of customer service.

The hotel was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint was the rooms were so small.
