Beautiful old school hotel. Close to everything.
Nice breakfast, good facilities. Rooms were fantastic for families and very well equipped with lots of extras. Balcony, 2 fridges, coffee machine, microwave.
Check in was quick and easy - room was ready early. Staff very friendly. Parking was easy and free.
Cannot fault this hotel and would stay again if going back to Cairns.

Staff were lovely

Great welcome at reception. Very helpful and friendly.
Room was clean and bed was very comfy.
Good selection of drinks available.
Restaurant closed for refurb but plenty of food options nearby
Evan is a fantastic host and I look forward to returning to Mercure very soon.
Cheers

Geraint

The restaurant is under renovation, disappointing to
Not have access to food / drinks around the pool. But staff were friendly and hotel in a good area close to everything.

Overall it is a great hotel. Love the large sized family room. Wifi connection on TV’s didn’t work. Unable to access Netflix’s etc in room.

Great stop over for a few days in cairns. Really good central location

Hotel was in a great location

Poor experience for three reasons;
- Cleanliness was poor; you could see dust on the shelves where they clearly hadnt cleaned for ages & the floor cant have been mopped as it left our feet/socks dirty.
- The WiFi was useless
- Not very comfortable night sleep as the bed was on wheels so moved around & you could hear all the other guests doors slamming.
- The staff were unfortunately completely clueless about basic things like how to operate the laundry machine or if early check in was possible.

This wouldve been fine if this was a really budget hotel but we paid £150 night for it! So very overpriced for what it is.

Comfortable stay in heart of Cairns CBD. Just a walk to the pubs and restaurants.
