Third time staying here and this time made us not interested in returning. The staff is usually so accommodating and friendly but this time they were cold and unwelcoming. They made excuses for the Wi-Fi being bad quality and the room and hotel just showed it’s age.

It was the most horrible so called "5 star" hotel I have ever stayed in and I travel a lot. I have never experienced something like this in my last 20 years of travel accross the globe. I had a junior suite booked for 4 nights.Just to list a few points of my dissapointment:1. The worst breakfast spread i have ever seen. Found a bug in apple juice container.2. No water in the room. Only available with a charge. 3. No kettle in the room..we were told it is due to security reasons. If you need hot water you need to go down request for it.4. No Air conditioning in the room with sofa beds where kids would sleep. 5. No dental kits available even upon request.6. No Iron or ironing table and when asked for it they said they can only give it in the morning. (They were prompt in delivering it in the morning).7. No weighing scale/machine in the room. When requested they said they only have one weighing machine in the hotel and it needs to be returned to reception immediately after use. Most staff does not even know

This property was in a good location with an easy walking distance to the main attractions. There was also an underground link within 5 minutes walking distance. Room was very big and had everything we needed.

Not a 5* at all, worst 5* wannabe so far in Prague!!! Old not historic old fashioned, but OLD.The room smells funny or the old carpet does?!? NO KETTLE in the room, apparently they had a bad experience with it?!?! Well I do not drink tap water or cold water first thing in the morning or going to sleep I am here since 22h last night, cannot sleep all night, bad pillows and curtains do not close well. Now at 6am and thinking seriously of leaving!!!!
And as expected, the breakfast sucked! Adding, the towels smell too, once used, wet... I wanted a latte for breakfast and yes, it was charged extra €4!!! I live in Italy the coffee already sucks in Czech Republic and is overpriced, I get it here maximum for €2 ...coming back now from Trieste where I stayed at 4* and Esplanade at this point is 3* and I am being kind...the only Star in this hotel is the Concierge. And yes the corridors smells/stinks too in the morning... very disappointed indeed...and I am Czech...

The hotel is superb and excellent value for money. It is only a three minute walk into Wenceslas square as well. make sure you pre book a breakfast as we paid double the internet price
