We had a nice stay we will return

The Stanley is an amazing hotel in Athens. It has a wonderful restaurant on the roof top with incredible views of the acropolis and the Parthenon. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The pool is a nice place to gather and spend time. The breakfast spread was great. Our family really enjoyed our time there. I am not sure about the neighborhood around the hotel. It seemed safe enough, but it was not a nice area. They did have security out front and a lot of taxis right outside the front door.

The rooftop swimming pool with its amazing view and vibe is great. So, is the morning breakfast view also from the top floor.

The rooms are well functioning but nothing astonishing but they deliver what they are supposed to. The hotel is in walking distance to many great neighborhoods which is also a big plus.

We booked an upgraded Superior room and were placed in number 730. It was so disappointing. Tiny room no space to open more than one suitcase at a time. The bathroom was so small there was very little space for toiletries and we kept bumping into the walls of the tiny shower cubicle. Theres nowhere to charge your devices - the only plugs by either side of the bed were used for the bedside lamps. The bedding was horrible and cheap, definitely not the "down" that was advertised for a superior room - I had a terrible nights sleep. All the lights were very bright white lights like being in a hospital. Overall it felt like sleeping in a dorm room or hostel! We ended up complaining and paying more for an Executive room which was much better, sorted all the issues we had with the supposed "Superior" room. We were meant to stay there again on our return leg but cancelled. Such a shame, it promised more than it delivered.

Very convenient for the metro and hop on/off bus. The area around the hotel isnt the greatest but the hotel itself is really nice.

Hotel is so lovely, rooftop pool bar is exceptional and has views of the Acropolis. Breakfast was lovely too and offers a great variety.

This was my third stay. Of all, it was the least “nice.” But I’ll still be forgiving and give 8 of 10 because the prior 2 were 10’s. This was the smallest room and had a mold smell! It was bad! The bathroom was tiny. Great location. Beautiful pool views and roof top. Excellent staff and restaurant. Overall I’d stay again but next time I’d say something about the musky moldy smell

This is the 3rd time at this hotel so clearly I enjoy it. The restaurant pool and bar area terrific with great views of the acropolis. My first time last year the room I got was the next. Corner unit. Large. Enjoyed! This year we got a room for 2 nights and then one more to finish up our trip. The last night our room was the smallest. The bathroom was tiny. Sink was cracked. But the part I didn’t enjoy was the odor or smell of mold and musk. I should have told the staff but did not - they appeared to be sold out. Not sure what they could have done. Overall 8 out of 10. Great location. One breakfast was fantastic on 9th floor. Last one was a continental and was just ok. Great staff! Helpful and friendly. Pool can get busy loud and crowded.

The bed was very comfortable, although the room was small.

We got a room in the ‘old part’. The room was smelly and moldy. Was changed to a tiny room without carpet which was much better. We choose the Stanley because of the swimming pool, but so did all the others. Very cloudy water due to all the people (not a big space) and not a free space. So next time we will not be tempted by a pool in the heat! Nice and helpful people at front desk etc.
