Overall nice hotel but it was under construction during my stay. Noise levels were not a problem but access to the stairs on my floor were blocked at both access points. I raised to the hotel staff and nothing changed. It’s a fire safety issue for stairwells to be inaccessible.

Great location, easy walk to the Trafalgar Square, also easy walk to Underground. Our room was clean, well appointed and big enough to be comfortable.

The history in the hotel is amazing, as well as the view. We stayed in the River View Room, 612. The room was equipped with everything we needed. However the room itself is in need of refreshment. Curtain sheers are tattered, tabletops worn, bathroom shower tile/tub needs cleaning, loose floor tile in entrance. Room service forgot some things, also brought us some sweets we didn’t order. The concierge John, was a tremendous help and gave us a tour of some of the reception rooms.

The staff at this hotel is amazing. They are very accommodating. The location is perfect. Near attractions and the Thames. Room was very clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. The bar was nice and service was outstanding.

Amazing location and very clean and nice

I had a small room on the eighth floor. It was a bit small. The worst thing was the internet kept dropping out. The widow rattled in the wind. The heating didn’t work properly just blew out cold air and the vanity mirror in the bathroom kept flashing but didn’t stay on. On a positive note The bed was comfortable though and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was lovely. Also plenty of hot water.

View and location exactly what we loved, but the vibe is old and so are the cliental, its not very hip.

The hotel is in a good position between Trafalgar Square and Big Ben. It’s a lovely old traditional hotel. The room was clean and comfortable with traditional curtains and decor. The room has a fridge, iron, and tea and coffee making facilities. Some parts are looking a bit worn for a 5 star hotel, like the stair carpets.
There are umbrellas to borrow-which we needed!
We didn’t have breakfast as it’s expensive, and there aren’t any cafes nearby so be aware of that. We ate in the restaurant, it wasn’t cheap but the same thing, there aren’t many places nearby to eat and most of the pubs and restaurants we passed were full.
It’s handy for Westminster, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street and Whitehall.
