The room was appallingly dirty. It was clear it hadnt been cleaned after the previous guests: there was accumulated dirt and dust everywhere, and there was also hair on the floor, the toilet, and the bedding. There was even a small piece of plastic packaging on the floor left by a previous guest, that hadnt been cleaned away! There were also dark spots that looked like mold on the walls and the ceiling. There was a musty smell on the towels (like they had been left in the washing machine for too long before drying). I only stayed for one night, but it was far from a comfortable stay. I couldnt trust if the sheets had been washed or not, so I had to sleep on top of the towel. The location was the only thing that was good about this hostel, as well as the privacy of the room. If I had stayed for any longer than one night, I would have immediately left and booked another place after seeing the state of the room, but I didnt want to spend my only night in Seoul finding another place and travelling between host

The place is clean.
However it is located on the hill and you need to climb up a little.
If you are travelling with big luggage it will be a problem.
And there is no elevator.

If you are travelling only with your backpack, it is perfectly ok.

we went by the longer route (via google map) to get to the hostel & it was a up-hill challenge.. theres another shorter route which the staffs informed us and its definitely faster. That aside, we got the family room at the very last min, 2 hours before check in. It was spacious, 2 queen size bed for 4 adults, a little sofa corner and private bathroom and we are on the first floor. A really new hostel, as the aircon is only used during summer (and its now still winter), we rely on the ventilation from the window which doesnt have a lock which is really dangerous. Otherwise, you hear foot steps of other guests walking by to get to their rooms on the next level. Great for budget travellers, it is walking distance to the main hongdae night street, theres full of life at night, shopping, cafes, food. Takes about 10mins by foot to get there, location is not too bad.
