We were told that theres a daily $35 credit for the bar, but we were charged a daily $35 Destination fee so what was the point of that. The room was clean but it also smelled like mildew. The location is very convenient which was great.

The wifi was good, but there was no streaming services on the tv. Rooms a/c wasnt that great. No fridge nor microwave- so I wouldnt recommend if traveling with a toddler. Housekeeping was great, and as helpful as possible. Other than that- rooms were not as pictured when booking. Location was great, so everything was walking distance, just personally would not stay here again.

I was impressed with the cleanliness of my room and the professionalism, courtesy and helpfulness of the staff.

Centric location, very convenient

This hotel is just a few city blocks from pretty much everything! Very classic modern hotel, leaning towards the original art deco fashion. The front staff were welcoming, providing good recommendations for food in the area and the hotel was very clean and relaxing. The rooms themselves were a little smaller than I expected, but was satisfying as Im just a solo traveler. My room didnt include a mini fridge, but I was happy to see that they provided noise canceling options in the drawer, paying attention to the fact that the city never truly sleeps.

Subway stops near by (just a few blocks) and an attached Starbucks within the hotel. Id say, overall, a great stay!

I stay in approximately 100 Marriott properties per year. The hotel is old and definitely need some updating and renovations. The location is ideal for Midtown Manhattan theater, districts, restaurants. It was reasonably priced and may stay again in the future.

Would not stay here again. Would not allow early check-in. Baggage check-in requires cash when leaving bags. Does not allow charge to the room. Left the do not disturb notice on my door each day and nonetheless, housekeeping still came into my room and refreshed. Rooms in person are tired and not as fresh as they appear in photos. Also, daily resort fee is high and “credits” are hard to use.

Relatively old property, needs renovation as most New York City hotels do. Had to change rooms three times in two days. I stay a lot at Marriott properties and was somewhat disappointed. For New York City it is well located and safe.

The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. We were disappointed in the policy of charging an additional $40 per night, $35 per night can be used towards food or drinks. Sounds fair. My husband and I used it for breakfast, $79 for a buffet the quality of what most budget hotels would include in the amenities. Mediocre at best. Also, at 2:30 AM we had a guest open our door with a key that the front desk gave to her while assigning the room we already occupied. Mistakes happen but when we told the front desk we barely got an apology.

I have no choice but to give this place 5 stars. An angel woman checked me and my boys in. She saw that we were tired from the red eye flight the night before. She allowed us to check in early which was so needed. We were able to take a nap, have a place for our bags and not worry about returning to check in. That single act changed the whole day/trip for us. I wish so badly I remembered her name. The location near grand central was a huge perk too. I would stay here again.
