Great location and fine hotel. Room was nice and had great air conditioning, and the pools were lovely. Breakfast was okay, and the reception organised a good excursion for us which was good value for money.

A lovely little stay in Stonetown on our way out of Zanzibar. Perfectly positioned right on the beach and in a good location to explore Stonetown. We had a nice dinner overlooking the locals playing on the sand and in the sea, slept well, and despite our very early start had a take away breakfast provided. A really good experience.

We stayed at Tembo House Hotel in Stone Town for two nights, in room 106. While the hotel has some positive aspects, there are also several areas that could be improved. The room was very small, with barely enough space for our luggage. It felt cramped, and it was almost impossible to move around the bed on both sides. The bed itself was quite hard and uncomfortable, with only a thin blanket and sheet provided, which did not add much to the comfort level. Additionally, the room was quite noisy, with a lot of sound coming in from the hallway. In the restaurant, we experienced that both crows and cats would come inside, meaning you had to keep a close eye on your food. That said, the food itself was tasty and well-prepared, which was a definite positive. On the plus side, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also appreciated that the hotel provided us with an early breakfast in a takeaway bag, as we had to leave before the restaurant opened—this was a thoughtful and convenient touc

Fantastic hotel in colonial style. Not new and shing but an experience in itself. Situated right on the beach and at the same time in the middle of Stonetown. Highly recommended.

Old hotel. Rooms are disappointing and it it very noicy in the corridors. Dry hotel (no alcohol). Only reason for three stars is location.
