This is my favorite hotel in Toronto. Beautiful lobby and rooms, amazing gym and great food.

Awesome hotel, queue at check needs to be sorted out

Big problem with pillows that smelled very bad - was not a surprise to staff - not what I expected

Till they change their entrances we will never stay there again. They should have Escalators on both entrances and take out the small round entrance doors, with a large luggage you dont even fit in it and we are not large people. They also very hard to push, its ridiculous. When you enter the lobby and check in the music is too loud from the bar area, its annoying.

Great location and beautiful hotel with great service

Enjoyed my one night stay at the Royal York hotel. I would highly recommend staying here if youre in Toronto.

I enjoyed staying a lot. The location was great.

This Fairmont was honestly the worst hotel experience Ive ever had, and the worst property in the entire Fairmont chain by far. The building is old and poorly maintained, and the room had an unpleasant smell—especially the bathroom, which was completely unbearable.

The worst part though was the false advertising. I booked based on the photos on their website, but the room I got looked nothing like what was shown online. When I asked the staff about it, they were extremely rude and casually admitted that the photos only show their "best room" — and that they only have one of those in the entire hotel. That kind of misleading marketing is completely unacceptable.

I asked to be moved to a room that actually matched what was advertised, and the staff said they would check and get back to me — and never did. I know Fairmont properties can vary a lot by location, but this one was just terrible.

Clean room, great staff great lobby bar
