A must-go “wagyu” restaurant complex.

It may not be a so-called Japanese cuisine restaurant, as it serves beef steaks and hamburger patties, which are thought to be western dishes, but in fact, as it features “wagyu”, or Japanese-produced beef, Mansei can be called a Japanese restaurant.
Japanese beef and hamburger patties have a good reputation, which draw lots of fans even from overseas.

Mansei Akihabara is a ten-storied restaurant complex which is located by the Mansei Bridge in Akihabara. It originally started as a butcher in 1949, and has kept its policy to serve high quality beef with at relatively affordable price. Now this building features different types of restaurants on each floor. For example, you can enjoy hamburger patties and beef steaks in a casual manner on the 3rd and 4th floors. I especially recommend “Mansei-hamburger steak set”, with the special demi-glace sauce which goes well with the juicy patty, it also comes with rice and ton-jiru (miso soup with pork and vegetables) at lunch time. Also, “teppan yaki set” (thinly sliced beef which is grilled on a hot plate) and “beef steak set” must be the ones you should keep in mind. All dishes come with a free fried egg before ordering 11:45.
If you have heard of “yakiniku” or Korean barbeque, and if you are more interested in the tender texture of the beef, Mansei-Bokujo, on the 5th floor is just for you. Or you would probably like to have some classy Japanese dishes like "sukiyaki" or "shabushabu", you can choose "Shichifukujin" on the 7th floor. You can enjoy traditional Japanese meat dishes while relaxing in the Japanese style interior. The unique one should be “Goetsu-doshu”, which is Izakaya style (Japanese pub) in the basement. It provides what we call “Drink bar” which is an all-we-can-drink system, but the one here is surprisingly “Sake-bar”.
I could say this building can meet your appetite according to your mood and budget. So try and enjoy meal before or after strolling around Akihabara. On the first floor, there is a souvenir shop, which sells “pork fillet cutlet sand” box. It’s a unique collaboration of soft fillet cutlet, sweet sauce and the soft bread, although it’s not wagyu, this item sells well here.
